Ebony Wood Shockproof Case is made from real African ebony, one of the densest woods. The near-black surface has subtle dark brown streaks. A rugged TPU bumper with corner air cushions handles drops up to 10 feet. The wood is polished to a smooth finish that resists scratches. The case has raised camera and screen edges. Supports wireless charging through the thick back. Very premium feel.
African ebony (Diospyros crassiflora) is one of the heaviest, densest woods in the world – it sinks in water. Its color is so deep black that it’s often used for piano keys and fine knife handles. This case uses real ebony, not stained substitutes. The wood is jet black with barely visible dark brown or gray streaks that become apparent only under bright light. The surface is polished to a mirror-like gloss using diamond abrasives, resulting in a smooth, cool-to-the-touch finish that resists scratches better than most hardwoods. The TPU bumper is extra-thick (2mm at corners) with air cushion technology that can handle drops from up to 3 meters (10 feet). The bumper has a carbon-fiber texture on the sides for maximum grip. The buttons are covered but have mechanical click enhancers. The screen lip is raised 1.0mm, camera lip 0.9mm. Despite the dense wood and thick bumper, the case still supports wireless charging – though we recommend a higher-power charger (15W+). The ebony wood is naturally resistant to rot and insects, and it will not warp or crack under normal use. Over many years, ebony may develop a subtle patina but remains black. Due to the weight of ebony, the case is slightly heavier than other wood cases (38 grams), but still less than many plastic rugged cases. Each case is individually serial numbered. This is for the user who wants the darkest, most elegant wood combined with extreme protection.
