Genuine mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla) has been the gold standard for fine furniture and musical instruments for centuries. This case uses sustainably sourced Honduran mahogany, known for its straight, fine grain and rich, deep reddish-brown color that only gets better with age. The wood is hand-rubbed with a natural tung oil and beeswax blend – no synthetic varnish – which leaves a warm, matte finish that feels like bare wood but resists moisture. Embedded inside the wood is a ring of 16 N52 magnets for perfect MagSafe alignment and strong hold. The TPU bumper is soft to the touch but has reinforced corners with internal honeycomb structures for drop protection up to 1.8 meters. The interior is lined with a microfiber suede that prevents the phone from vibrating against the wood – no annoying rattling or micro-scratches. The buttons are covered but feature a metal spring mechanism for a satisfying click. The screen lip is raised 0.8mm, and the camera lip is raised 0.7mm. Mahogany is naturally stable and resistant to rot, and it darkens to a beautiful, antique reddish-brown over time. The case supports full-speed wireless charging (tested up to 15W with MagSafe). To maintain the oil finish, you can occasionally wipe the wood with a soft cloth and a drop of mineral oil (included in the package). This case comes in a reusable wooden box.
