Birch Ply Slim Cover uses engineered birch plywood with visible layered edges. The top veneer is natural birch with straight grain. Case thickness is 1.5mm. It has a unique side profile showing ply lines. The case is rigid and lightweight. Matte coating resists scratches. Precise cutouts and clicky buttons. Raised camera lip. Great for industrial design fans.
This is not your typical wood case. Instead of solid wood, we use high-quality birch plywood – multiple layers of birch veneer cross-laminated and pressed under heat. The top layer is natural birch with straight, clean grain. But the unique feature is the edges: when you look at the side of the case, you see the layers (typically 5 layers, each about 0.3mm thick). This gives a subtle striped, industrial look that fans of plywood furniture (like Charles and Ray Eames) will appreciate. The case is 1.5mm thick and weighs 17 grams. The plywood construction makes it more rigid and less likely to warp than solid wood – it’s dimensionally very stable. The matte coating is scratch-resistant and fingerprint-proof. The buttons are covered but have a crisp, clicky feel thanks to a metal leaf spring inside. The camera cutout has a raised lip (0.5mm) made of anodized aluminum. The screen lip is 0.4mm. The edges of the case are beveled and smooth – the ply layers are visible but not rough. Because it’s plywood, there’s no risk of splitting or cracking. The case supports wireless charging and all screen protectors. It comes with a small card explaining the plywood construction. This is for design lovers, architects, and anyone who appreciates the beauty of engineered wood and clean, geometric lines.
