Sapele Wood Slim Cover shows beautiful ribbon-like grain patterns. The wood is finished with a matte clear coat. At 1.3mm thin, it adds almost no weight. The case has a snap-on design that fits snugly. All buttons are covered but responsive. The camera cutout is precise with a slight raised ring. Great for showing off phone’s original design while adding wood texture. Very pocketable.
Sapele (Entandrophragma cylindricum) is an African mahogany relative with a striking ribbon-like grain that shimmers when light hits it from different angles. This case uses quarter-sawn sapele, which produces the most pronounced striped figure. The wood is finished with a matte clear coat that protects without adding gloss, so the natural chatoyance (the shimmering effect) remains visible. At just 1.3mm thick and 14 grams, the case is barely there. It snaps onto the phone with a satisfying click and fits tightly with zero wiggle. The buttons are covered with a thin layer of the same wood but have internal silicone pads to transfer clicks – they feel nearly as responsive as bare buttons. The camera cutout has a thin metal ring that rises 0.3mm above the wood surface, protecting the lens when placed on its back. The screen lip is 0.4mm high. The edges of the case are beveled, so they don’t catch on pockets. Sapele wood is moderately hard and stable, with good resistance to warping. The color is a warm reddish-brown with darker stripes. Over time, sapele darkens slightly to a rich mahogany. The case is compatible with all wireless chargers and screen protectors. Because the case is so thin, you can easily use it with a PopSocket or other grip accessory (adhesive will stick directly to the wood, but removal may leave residue – we recommend using the PopSocket mount disk). This case is perfect for showing off the original lines of your phone while adding the warmth and texture of real wood.
