This case pairs a 1.8mm walnut back with a dual-layer bumper: a hard polycarbonate inner skeleton and a soft, impact-absorbing TPU outer shell. The corners have oversized air pockets that can absorb drops from up to 2.4 meters (8 feet) – exceeding military standards. The walnut wood is treated with a hand-rubbed oil finish (a blend of linseed and tung oil) that penetrates the wood, enhancing the grain and providing a smooth, natural feel that isn’t sticky or plasticky. The bumper has integrated lanyard loops and textured side rails with a diamond pattern for grip. The buttons are large, covered in TPU, and have internal springs for crisp feedback even when wearing gloves.
