Padauk Wood Shockproof Case starts bright orange-red and darkens to deep mahogany. The wood back is bonded to a dual-layer shockproof frame. Corner air cushions exceed military drops. The wood is finished with UV-resistant coating to slow color change. Raised lips and textured sides. Despite color, it’s very durable. Perfect for those who love bold colors in a protective case.
Padauk (Pterocarpus soyauxii) is an African wood famous for its intense, vibrant orange-red color. When freshly cut, it looks almost unreal – like it’s been painted. Over time, exposure to UV light will turn it a deep, rich mahogany brown-red. This case includes a UV-resistant clear coat that slows that color change, so you can enjoy the bright orange-red phase for longer (typically 6-12 months instead of a few weeks). The wood is naturally resistant to rot and insects. The padauk back (1.8mm) is bonded to a dual-layer shockproof frame: a hard polycarbonate inner shell and a soft TPU outer bumper. The corners have oversized air cushions that exceed MIL-STD-810G drop standards (2.2 meters). The sides have deep, aggressive texturing for a secure grip. The screen lip is raised 1.0mm, camera lip 0.9mm. The buttons are large and textured, easy to press with gloves. Despite the rugged build, the case supports wireless charging (15W recommended). It weighs 36 grams. Padauk has an open grain that can be felt; we’ve filled the grain with a clear pore filler for a smooth surface. The color is so bold that the case attracts attention everywhere. Over time, as it darkens, it becomes more subtle but still beautiful. This is for the bold, outgoing user who wants maximum protection and a color that starts loud and evolves into classic elegance.
